Alright, so let’s talk about this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, the one with the sapphire crystal, you know, the see-through back. I got myself into this whole mess a few weeks ago. I was just browsing around, killing time, and somehow ended up in a specialty store. Don’t know why, cause I wasn’t really looking for a watch, especially not one that fancy.
Anyway, I went in, just to take a look. And there it was, this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster. They started telling me how it’s like the one that went to the moon, all that history stuff. I gotta say, it looked pretty cool. It was shiny and had all these little dials and buttons. Then I saw the back. You could see all the tiny parts moving inside, all those gears and springs. It was kinda mesmerizing, I have to admit. And all the parts working together, ticking away. The salesman, he was going on about how it’s the “original order” one, and how it’s such a classic.
I started looking it up on my phone, just to see what the deal was with this watch. And it turns out, this Speedmaster thing is a big deal. NASA used it back in the day for the Apollo missions. That’s when I knew I was going to get it. Then I saw that it’s not just the one I was looking at, but there are two versions – one with something called “hesalite glass” and another with this “sapphire crystal.” Both have this cool design on the back with a seahorse. It’s called the OMEGA seahorse medallion, apparently.
So, I spent a good chunk of time trying to figure out the difference between those two. The hesalite one is supposed to be closer to the original that went to the moon, but this sapphire one, it just looked so much nicer with that clear back. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see all those little parts moving? It’s like a tiny, intricate machine on your wrist.
After hemming and hawing for like an hour, and probably driving the salesman crazy, I decided to go for it. I got the sapphire version. I just couldn’t resist that see-through back. It felt like I was getting something special, something with a story, you know?
- First, I decided which model I like.
- Then, I went into the store and looked at the watch.
- After that, I spent time figuring out the details.
- Finally, I got the one I want.
Now, every time I look at it, I’m reminded of that whole space thing, and how it’s like a little piece of history on my wrist. Plus, it’s just fun to watch those gears turn. It’s way cooler than any of those smartwatches everyone’s wearing these days. This one’s got character. It’s got history. And it’s got a clear back that lets me see all the magic happening inside.
I really don’t know why I bought this one.
I guess it is a pretty good watch. I wear it everywhere. Hope it can hold value or even increase in value. Anyway, It’s got a Manual Chronometer Calibre 3861, CO-Axial, and column-wheel. The salesman told me it was COSC certified 26 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour. But I don’t know what that means. It looks cool, that’s all I know. I guess it won’t be a bad decision for me.
