Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this Fendi White Zucca Mini Mon Tresor Bag for a while now. I finally decided to go for it, and let me tell you, it was a whole process.
First, I started by hitting up a bunch of online shops. I mean, who goes to actual stores anymore? Anyway, I was checking out those luxury consignment places, like The RealReal, because, you know, a girl’s gotta try to save a little coin. I saw a few listings for Fendi Zucca bags, some were even marked down by like 10%. Not bad, but not exactly what I was looking for. I specifically wanted that white one, the mini Mon Tresor.
Then I found this one post, I think it was from last year, that mentioned saving the Fendi Mon Tresor. That got me thinking, maybe I could find it on a pre-owned site. So, I dug deeper.
- Scoured a ton of websites.
- Looked at pictures for hours.
- Compared prices, sizes, and conditions like a hawk.
I saw some descriptions mentioning this bag was made of suede and covered in crystals, which wasn’t really the vibe I was going for. But I knew Fendi’s famous for their FF logo, so I kept that in mind. I also saw stuff about “palladium-finish metalware,” which, honestly, I don’t even know what that means. I just wanted the bag to look good!
I found another listing from, like, November 2024, so that was a dead end. It had all these details: “Designer: Fendi. Exterior Material: Leather. Accessories: Dust Bag, Extra Strap.” That sounded more like it! Especially the “dust bag” part, those things are important. Also, it mentioned that the bag have a “detachable flat leather top handle” and “detachable flat leather strap”.
After that, I stumbled upon a listing for a Fendi Bucket Bag from 2022. It was white leather, had that Zucca FF logo I wanted, and even mentioned a “gold-tone hardware flat handle” and a “drawstring closure.” Bingo! But, it was listed as “suede lining,” and I wasn’t sure about that. Still, it was the closest thing I’d found.
Then, finally, I found it! A listing for a “Pre-Owned 2012-2022 mini Mon Trsor bucket bag.” It was the one! I was so excited.
Double-Checking Everything
But, you know, you can’t just trust everything you see online. I remembered reading somewhere that real Fendi bags have a leather tag inside that says “FENDI Made in Italy” or something like that, or a metal plate with the same thing. And the color of that plate is supposed to match the other metal parts on the bag. Smart, right?
They also said something about a serial number on the label, an “alpha-numeric serial number.” It seemed like way too much work to remember, but I kept it in the back of my mind. And then something about the company being founded in 1925, in Rome, which I guess is cool if you’re into that kind of history stuff.
I made sure the listing I finally found had pictures of all that stuff, the tag, the serial number, everything. It checked out. I also learned that the factory is in a place called Capannuccia, near Florence. Fancy! Occupying 30,000-square-meter area. They make all the goods there.
Finally, after all that, I placed my order. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive. Fingers crossed it’s as amazing as I’m hoping! It’s a bit of a splurge, but hey, sometimes you just gotta treat yourself, right?
