And get this, on the back, it’s got writin’. “APOLLO 8,” it says. Must be important, I reckon. Maybe the name of one of them spaceships. Or maybe the fella who flew it. City folks and their names, always gotta make a big deal outta everythin’.
They say you can buy this here watch at the official flagship store. Flagship? Sounds like somethin’ out of the Navy! But I guess it means it’s the real deal, not some knock-off you’d find at the flea market. Not that I go to flea markets much, too much hustle and bustle for me. I like things quiet and simple.
And they talk about “legacy” and “quality”. Well, I know a thing or two about quality. Gotta have quality if you want things to last. Like my old quilt, been in the family for generations, still keepin’ me warm at night. This watch, it feels like quality, solid and heavy.
People talk about wearin’ the moon on your wrist. That’s a funny thought. But I get it. This watch, it’s like a little piece of the sky you can carry around with you. And it’s fancy too, I mean if someone showed this off in the village I can imagine everyone would be gawking.
